Remember Summer in the good old days? Running, playing outside, making a mud pie or two , swimming and coming home starved. Picnics in the park and lightening bugs at night caught in a jar brings fond memories to mind. Reading for hours the Nancy Drew mystery series. All this came back to me when a young father was in the store yesterday talking about his little girl. She only is interested in electronic games and thinks books are boring. To his credit they have limited her access this summer to electronics and encouraging her to "play" and be creative.
All of the above inspired me to do this little vignette of summer thoughts. I know I got off and away from antiques, maybe not so far, just antique thoughts. It is so important for the younger children to have the simple joys of childhood.
WELCOME!
