Bits And Pieces

Locally made candle tray with a pine garland surrounding a glass globe and a Jingle Bell candle. To further accent the grouping we added red berry picks and three red bells.

My! Oh My!! These Black Crow candles just arrived and are a whopping 64oz.size with three wicks. Perfect for gift giving or your own enjoyment. Some of our favorite scents too.

Also just arrived some of the hand made tin lighting that we all love.

This red lamp is from another equally talented tinsmith. Arnett's Santa and sheep tie in with the prints on the wall.

Black two piece cupboard also locally crafted. Santa's and snowmen fill the shelves. I especially like the snowman peeking out of the red stocking with his big candy cane.

Pictures Around the Shop

Rusty bells and new red berries just in to accent your Christmas decor. Speaking of bells, Jingle Bells candle is back in. A wonderful fragrance for the holidays.

Snowman Party !!

New Arrival !! Love seat in a coverlet pattern.

Stockings are hung and the fireplace lite. We may need the "heat" this weekend since we are due a chilly weekend.

Old butter churn with a primitive tree . Notice under the churn is the dasher making the churn all complete. Not a whole lot more needs to be added, perhaps popcorn garland or the simplicity speaks for itself. What do you think?

Decorated Trees

Old photos tucked in a tree, family and history are represented here amid the branches.

Gingerbread men are always a favorite at Christmastime. Popcorn balls and garland accent old kitchen tin ware.

Old baby buggy makes a good place to nestle a tree. The tree has children's baking items and surrounded with old toys and books.

The snowmen tree is barely peeking around the corner in the picture but it is surrounded by other snow fellows.

Pumpkins

Fabric pumpkin with some orange red berries.

What a face! It's her pumpkin she is holding tightly and you better not mess with her. Jack-o-lantern pillow seems to think it is a good idea.

Gourd pumpkin basket with fall berries and leaves. The baskets certainly make a good container for candy.

Realistic resin pumpkins in a variety of shapes and sizes.

Fall In The Store

Touches of fall has appeared in the shop. After last weeks redo it was fun setting out our fall goods.

Pumpkin man and his scarecrow friend are two of the handmade goods that bring the thought of fall.

Wheat sheaves ,candy corn and pumpkin bowl fillers add interest to a fall table.

Wood acorns in a resin scoop. Smiling jack-o-lantern pillow peeking out.

Redo !!

New to the shop is this old Hoosier cabinet. More oldies will be coming in soon.

Moving things around and making room for new arrivals. Several people have  been asking 'when will fall be out?' The answer is...we will have fall in the store next week. I think having our hot days is just making people wanting some sort of promise of cooler days.

Primitiques cabinet moved in a different spot and filled with old granite ware.

Table and chairs are ready for pumpkins and touches of fall berries. Sitting in wait but not long to go. Check back in soon and there will touches of fall to enjoy.

Few New Things

County Fair ! At least these fine animals have the "ribbons" to show they are  winners. Their ribbons can be removed and they fit right in a country home.

A new arrival ! This small cabinet would make a great night stand or placed in a small area.

Game boards are one of my personal favorites. I have a collection at home going up my stairway. These are a sampling of some of our new boards in the store.

Happy July Fourth !!!

A day of celebration with family and friends whether it is cooking out or just hanging out. Perhaps a parade and fireworks are in your plans for the day. Our family will enjoy cold lemonade in our old brown churn that  has been a tradition for five generations and will be enjoyed all day at home.

The shop will be closed July 4th but we will be open again regular hours Friday and Saturday. Have a safe and happy 4th !!

Primitiques In Groupings

Grouping on Primitiques new scrub board that has just come in. Always fun to get boxes of goodies from them.

Settlers Shelf and new baskets from Primitiques. Too much light coming through the window made this picture too light.

Some more wall cupboards that need to find a place on the walls.
