Pumpkin Gatherings

Pumpkins signal the arrival of fall .These are resin so they will be long lasting. I love the variations in color and the bumpy ones are my personal favorites.

Old Baskets

Nice early baskets I just acquired. Actually the one on the chair is not "old" but has a good look. How are we going to fill them? Anyone have their favotite thing to do with baskets? Do you want to share? We might show one of your ideas here.

Leather Look Wingback Chair

A wingback that has the look of leather but the comfort of fabric makes a nice addition to a family room or study.

Loveseat

A setting that invites a sip of coffee and browsing through a good book. You might want to pick up a copy of Jill Peterson's new book, The Settlement. It has homes in several states and two here in Texas. The loveseat is one of several new upholstered furniture pieces to arrive in the store lately.

Stein's Country Collection

Some wonderful fall pieces from Stein's that just came in yesterday. Mr. Jack O Lantern and his turkey friends will accent any country setting.

Pumpkin People

Aren't they little cuties ? They arrived this week, just in time for fall. I have them hanging on an old quilt but they can both sit as well. They each have a bunch of prim detail and are made by a talented doll maker in Conn.

More Primitiques

This is another picture of some of the recent Primitiques shipment. The makedo shelf to the right is sitting on a sawbuck table. The shelf can be hung but I think it also looks great sitting on the table. To the left is a small server which is green over red but I need to show a better picture of it.

Captain Mad Molly

Many times when I am not in the store people want to know if I had a nice vacation or a relaxing time. Wrong! Usually it means I am doing a children's show for my son. Last weekend I was at Kemah Boardwalk doing a booking for him plus trying to avoid the rain. My sweet husband was also there doing a dinosaur show so it was two days outside. They both enjoy doing shows for kids birthdays and schools because there is always an element of surprise with kids. Check them out at http://www.schoolandcampfun.com/. Mad Molly has a birthday party to do this weekend so I will be away again.

Settle

Black over red paint settle by Primitiques. Notice the storage drawer and the fabric cushion that finishes this wonderful piece. At the moment it is very simple with a textile over the back and a

paper packet on th seat. Seasonal decor would be neat on the seat also or a special friend sitting a spell.

Cozy Prim Room

The "Primitiques Room" is finished and I love the results. It makes you feel like you are in a room in an early house. More close ups and descriptions to come but wanted you all to see how it came out.

Primitiques Shipment Has Arrived !!!!

Lots to unpack. If it were a little cooler outside, it would feel like Christmas!

Lucky for me, my husband and son came to unpack and recycle.

So much fun to see all the Primitiques furniture and treasures.

Bit of Fall

I have been out for awhile with minor knee surgery but I am so excited to be back at the shop. There will be more posts in the next few days of some of the goodies coming in. We are redoing a whole room with new Primitiques furniture so watch for more info on that.
