Gourd Apples

A basket full of apples handpainted by Merrilyn. They are actually gourds shaped like apples , that she has painted and aged. The apples would certainly be a good "in between" before we start doing our fall decorating. Add some to an old wood bowl for a bit of color.

Steins Country

Pictures do not do these little beauties justice. The horses and ram are just an example of the beautiful work that Steins Country is known for. It is hard to imagine stuffing such small areas on these creations.

Mabel In A Comfy Chair

Mabel is one of Arnett's Country Store creations with her aged fabric dress and bonnet. She seems right at home in the little make do chair. Mabel is a handmade, limited edition being number twenty nine of a hundred. She is visiting for awhile but is looking for a new home to rest herself.

Can you ever have enough drawer space? This oldie is handmade and some of the drawers are divided. It has a great look and practical.

Kitchen Primitives

Wonderful early tin coffee pot, cooking utensils, spice tins and great old spoons. Gathered together to welcome browsing. Think about the hands that toiled in the kitchen many years ago.

Handpainted Game Boards

Game boards are each so different and these are made in America. These are just a sampling of some at the shop now. I have a grouping up my stairway at home and just love them.

Primitive Butter Mold

This old butter mold has eight different designs to imprint the butter. The mold is in two pieces making it easier to remove the butter. I found it in an old kitchen book dating the mold around 1910's. The butter pats are a few examples of a collection I recently purchased.

Primitive Shelf

Primitive shelf by Primitiques and one of their candle sconces. The shelf is holding red ware mugs by Hendersons Red ware. The picture of red ware pieces completes the grouping.
