Traditions

I had every intention of having a post up for the fourth to salute our country but time has just flown by for us. Our family enjoyed the tradition of drinking lemonade from the old family churn on July 4th. It is a time that we remember our family and our country. The grandsons now look forward to sharing the experience . Of course what they really enjoyed was the homemade ice cream.

Funny!!! I haven't heard that in awhile. You scream for ice cream !! If I told the grandkids they would really be screaming.

We had our traditional BBQ with potato salad and baked beans--lots of lemonade as it was very hot here. Neighbors doing fireworks, making the dogs bark. Just like every year. It was fun and relaxing. I wish we had a 4 day weekend every month!
