Old Tool Carriers

I just love old wood carriers. My grandad was a finish carpenter and I feel that he probably had something like one of these to carry his tools in. That must be where I got my love of old wood. There are so many ways to use carriers now, such as hide the remote, organize a desk, or collections that look better grouped together. Notice the old dry paint on the door..it will make a nice room divide or headboard.

Primitive Cabinet

Doesn't this have a very prim look? I love the distressing on the cabinet. It would work well by a chair or bedside. Even though it is not an antique it has a good look.

Shaka Studio Hutch

I promised to post a closer view of the cabinet and finally have got to it. I have been out of town all week but hopefully will be able to list a few more things now that I am back.

Farm Table

Here is a little better picture of the new farm table. It will seat eight and has a walnut distressed finish.

Pencil Post Bed

The bed has a nice early look with the black over java paint finish. Makes me want to curl up and take a nap.

Fiddleback Windsor Chair

Have a pair of these good looking chairs. They have a very aged look. The chair is in front of the new farm table and at the very back a new hutch cabinet. I will try to get some better pictures of those.

Beautiful Red Cabinet

Well the new furniture is in. This cabinet has such an early look but is recently made. It would make a wonderful focal point for any room. I will be adding new pictures latter today but wanted everyone to get a little sneak peek.

Moving Around

I moved this grey feed store cabinet into a corner getting ready for new furniture next week. I haven't cornered it before but think it looks nice this way. The new furniture is from Shaka Studios which includes pencil post beds, cupboards, 8 seat farm table, and other really good pieces. I can't wait for them to come in.
Remember if you want a closer view click on the pictures.

TOWELS

Nice cotton towels from Weavers Corner provide a good foundation for displaying crocks, lamps, and other needfuls. Use them to line baskets, hang on pegracks, or drape over cupboard shelves. The possiblities are endless. They are also handy for everyday use in the kitchen.

Wreaths

Wreaths are finally here after much waiting. They are priced and ready to be hung, which I will be doing the rest of the day. The largest one is hung over the fireplace..it provides texture to an otherwise flat surface.

More Friends

On top of an old cabinet I put some new Arnett's animals that came in today. There is a goat , sheep and a black horse all on wheels. Peeking out of the cabinet at the bottom are two sweet little lambs also on wheels with a little battery candle on the bottom shelf. This cabinet has great decorating potential with the doors being opened from either side. The two drawers at the top could store necessities but also make a nice place to show off a pretty towel.

Norma's Kitchen

While I was out of the store Tuesday Norma set up this "kitchen grouping"of old things atop a reproduction dry sink. She said it made her think of the pioneers and what they might have handy in their kitchens.
