What Santa Brought ?

Well maybe not Santa but the next best thing. A big rig driver brought a new shipment from Primitiques, Monday. It has been a busy week and have not had time to take pictures. This cupboard is quite narrow with five shelves inside. I would not mind having this under my Christmas tree : )

Turkey Day Only A Memory

I ran out to take the turkey bones for trash pick up and my eye caught sight of my mums. They bloomed in time for Thanksgiving and that is remarkable in itself. A friend gave these to me for my birthday last year, although I don't have a green thumb they survived me. Now notice in the background my "hedge" of rosemary which is growing wildly,to my youngest son's chagrin .Mine grow and whatever he tries to do for his he kills it.
What does all of this have to do with Thanksgiving memories? Actually nothing at all.

Thankful Hearts

We give pause to be thankful for the blessings we have been given. To have the love of family and friends is truly one of the most treasured gifts we can have. Wishing for each of you a wonderful day of Thanksgiving !!!

Primitive Cabinet By Primitiques

Love this two door cabinet by Primitiques. Notice the detail on the bottom left cabinet door. It looks like it had some hard use years ago but actually only recently made. I am expecting another new shipment of their things in the weeks to come.

Pine Medicine Cabinet

The cabinet looks good whether its open or closed. In the open position there are so many opportunities to tuck your collections. The snowman guy is just hanging out inspecting whats happening.

Primitive Wood Box

The primitive wood box is an old grayish paint with pine exposed in places. There are iron braces holding a piece of wood in the front. The old pine has such a rich look I just love it. It would be wonderful holding rolled quilts, a toy box or perhaps storing wood as it was originally intended.

Open House Was Fun

Last week was so busy and hectic but now we are catching our breath. We have been busy doing re-orders of some of the popular items that flew out during Open House. So in the next week or two we will be getting more stock. Some items will be first time arrivals.

This is a new favorite area in the store. It looks like a cozy sitting room.

We have many santas by different folk artists. The little guys on the tree have great detail.
This was a popular tree and it went home with one customer. We have more ice skates and snowmen ornaments on order.
Snowmen are making their home on this cabinet. I love the way the icy branch and lights came over the cabinet and the natural looking greenery.

Handmade Snowmen

These cheery fellows are a perfect accent for the holidays. Many of my customers say they leave their snow people out through February to get the most enjoyment from them.

Open House

We are in the midst of our Open House and it has been very successful. It is so nice to know that the things that we picked for the season are being appreciated. Thanks to all my sweet customers for your nice comments and loyal support.
